I'm always looking for new TV show recommendations. Lucky for you all-- I've pretty much watched everything Netflix currently has to offer.
While I obviously love to cook, sometimes it is nice to just sit back and watch someone else in the kitchen.
Here are a few of my favorites on Netflix:
For Jon Favreau's 2014 film, Chef , he turned to celebrity chef Roy Choi for some guidance. The duo worked so well together so they decided to collaborate again. On the Chef Show, the pair experiments with recipes in a collaborative kitchen that will leave your mouth watering. All three seasons are now available on Netflix, totaling 20 episodes!
In this Emmy-nominated series, meet culinary stars around the world who are redefining gourmet food with innovative dishes and tantalizing desserts. Chef's Table goes inside the lives and kitchens of six of the world's most renowned international chefs. Each episode focuses on a single chef and their unique look at their lives, talents and passion from their piece of culinary heaven. (Netflix; IMBb) There are a 6 seasons (30 episodes) currently available on Netflix.
Follow 12 international teams compete to create the best dishes based on each round's dedicated country. These elite chefs attempt to impress a panel of judges with extremely developed palates to reach The Final Table. Although there is only one season, I guarantee the 10 episodes on Netflix will fully captivate your taste buds.
For those of you who struggle to follow recipes, this show will have you laughing out loud. American comedian Nicole Byer hosts this hilarious show about cringe-worthy amateur bakers attempt complex desserts. If you're looking for something to take up a lot of your time, this show is perfect. Currently, there are 4 seasons of disastrous episodes, as well as a holiday special season.
Here's another show about home-cook hopefuls, however-- their skills are much more refined than those of "Nailed It". Passion vs. Profession is the theme of this show, as the contestants battle award winning chefs to discover who can create the best dish.
"Cooked with Cannabis is a competitive cooking show where three chefs make cannabis infused meals for a chance to win $10,000. Co-hots Kelis and Leather Storrs judge the contestants with the assistance of their "best buds" who are guests on the show." (IMDb
Nadiya Hussain takes us on a journey of healthy and quick recipes that are perfect for time-strapped families. These meals are not only delicious, but take very little time to create.
