Serves: 8

Time: 4 hours

Ingredients:

  • 24 oz frozen strawberries, slightly thawed

  • ¾ cups of sugar

  • Approximately 1/3 cup of any juice (I’ve used cranberry or orange juice, but I’m sure any flavor that compliments the strawberry should work)

Directions:

  1. Put half frozen strawberries and ¾ sugar, and enough juice into blender and blend until smooth. (The juice allows the frozen strawberries to blend easier, especially if they are frozen solid)

  2. Now add rest of the strawberries and continue blending, adding juice only if necessary. You do not want the texture to be too thin.

  3. Pour mixture into a 9 X 13 inch pan and free until hard, about 2 hours

  4. Once frozen, let it soften by leaving at room temperature and break up with wooden spoon

  5. Pour back into blender and blend until smooth

  6. Spoon into dessert dishes and freeze again for about 20 minutes before serving
